The music on this album is played in two different styles and also by two different groups of people.
The trio composed of Juraj Stanik, David Barker and Andres Alaru has a more traditional straight-ahead approach and the quartet composed of Raúl Santana, Stefan Gottfried, David Barker and Andres Alaru sounds rather nordic and minimalistic. The idea is to mix these two styles together creating contrast between the compositions. As Juraj´s hip and burning lines bring the music to the climax, the quartet´s minimalism helps to bring the tension down, same time David Barker´s accurate and sometimes Jo-Jo Mayerish musical gestures, full of inner urge, help to maintain the balance between two styles. The straight-ahead pieces are: "Tritone Blues", "Autumn in The hague", "Just Friends" and "Dolphin Dance".
The minimalistic pieces are "Ballad, "Nexus", "Circles" and "Majority". All compositions, except "Just Friends" (J.Klenner) and "Dolphin Dance (H.Hancock), have been written by Andres Alaru
